Who can buy on Arval MotorTrade?

To register on the Motor Trade sales platform, you must meet the following conditions: 
- Be a professional seller of used cars
- Have a valid VAT number
As part of the registration process, you will need to send the following documents: 
- A copy of your identity card 
- Proof of your bank account
- A completed online registration form

What types of vehicles are available for sale?

Access used vehicles between 6 months and 5 years old, from all ranges (All makes, All budgets, Car/utility vehicle), serviced in Arval's network of quality garages. More than 20,000 cars are sold every year on Motor Trade. 

Are there any additional charges applicable to the sale?

Arval charges an administration fee for each purchase on Motor Trade. You will find the amount of this charge on your purchase order.

What types of auctions do you have?


You will automatically receive an e-mail invitation for each sale list published on MotorTrade with the start date and time and the closing date and time.

How many auctions do you run?

4 auction lists are organised each week. Do not hesitate to consult our auction calendar. 

How do I assess the condition of the vehicle?

All our vehicles available for sale are carefully cleaned and inspected by our logistics partner. A full and detailed inspection report is available on our Motor Trade sales platform in the "Links and documents" tab of the vehicle file.

How do I make a claim in relation to a sale?

In order to improve the quality of our service, Arval has developed the Selfcare Claims module for managing your complaints and claims. This new tool is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in order to facilitate your procedures and process your requests more quickly. Log in to your MotorTrade account. To open a complaint, go to the "My complaints" tab in the top right-hand corner. You will be able to see all the complaints you have previously created and you can open a new one by clicking on "create a new complaint". Write a precise description of your problem and attach all the documents required within a maximum of 3 days to justify your request.

How do I release the vehicle(s) I have purchased?

Our finance department will acknowledge receipt of your payment. You do not need to send us proof of payment by e-mail, unless we ask you to do so.

Once your payment has been confirmed internally, we will send you a Pick Up Authorization Ticket (PUAT) by e-mail.

How can I recover the on-board documents for the vehicle(s) I have purchased?

On the day of authorisation for pick-up, we will send you the on-board documents with your invoice via the Belgium Parcels Service (BPS) delivery service. You will receive the parcel within 24 hours.

Important: be present to receive delivery of the parcel and sign the acknowledgement of receipt. Documents will not be left in a letterbox, except at your request confirmed by e-mail. If you are absent, BPS will come back again after 24 hours, up to a maximum of 2 times. If you have not received the documents within 48 hours, please contact us. If your address has changed, please let us know as soon as possible.

What is your payment process?

Have you bought a car? Validate the purchase order in MotorTrade within 2 days. Our bank details and the total amount to be paid are shown on the purchase order.

Important: payment must be made by bank transfer 5 days after validation of the purchase order. When paying, please indicate the number plate(s) of the car(s) purchased as the reference.

Depending on your bank, it may take between 2 and 48 hours to process your transfer.

Do you offer a transport service?

A delivery solution offered directly on our Arval Motor Trade sales platform. Save time and make sure you receive your vehicles safely: thanks to our delivery service, we take care of delivering the vehicles directly to your stockyards, so that you can concentrate fully on your business! It couldn't be simpler:
- Confirm your purchase on Motor Trade
- Choose the transport option and select the pre-registered delivery location 
- Your vehicles will be delivered to you within 5 working days.

How can I pick up the purchased vehicle(s) myself?

If you are transporting the purchased vehicle yourself, please refer to the address on your pick-up authorisation and make an appointment with BELCAR 24 hours in advance by e-mail arval.admin@belcar.be, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:00. The vehicle(s) must be collected within 5 days of the pick-up authorisation.                                                                                         

How many charging cables are available with the electric vehicle?

All our 100% electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) will be supplied with a charging cable. The presence of an additional cable is often optional and may vary from vehicle to vehicle. To avoid any confusion, we strongly recommend that you carefully examine the inspection reports for each vehicle to check the number and type of charging cables supplied.

What are the conditions for becoming an Arval Trading customer?

The following conditions must be met for your registration to be validated :

You have been working as a motor trade professional, specialising in buying and selling used cars, for at least 18 months,

You have an established commercial structure, with a minimum of 13 used cars in stock,

You advertise your used cars on specialised websites.
